On Thursday, June 14th, 2018 Brian Clay set out to run his 18.5 mile helicopter route on his “Aortaversary,” raising money for Wings for Falmouth Families. One year prior, Brian was med-flighted from Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton to Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston where doctors performed emergency open-heart surgery.
Brian wanted to “pay it forward” to other families who might be going through a medical crisis or tragic event.
